• Dr. Carla Irven (Smith) D.C.
Dr. Irven had a dream that she would one day practice Chiropractic in Colorado. With all the many changes that happened prior and during school, this has been the one constant in her life.
She was originally from Florida but relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. During her time there, she followed another dream … to work with animals. After receiving her degree in Animal Science, she became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She lived with exotics in an animal sanctuary, worked with domestics in emergency and nuclear medicine, and with horses in an equine practice. After a few years of very physical work, she developed on-going back problems. Since her father and stepmother are Chiropractors, they sent her directly to a local Chiropractor to find some relief from the pain. Not only was the pain eliminated, she also learned the principle of Chiropractic and how regular maintenance of her spine could increase the function of her whole body. She started to experience true quality of life. After that, she was inspired and decided to dedicate herself to an education and career in Chiropractic. Dr. Irven followed her dream of practicing in Colorado after an even bigger dream came true … meeting Dr. Smith, a Colorado native, while attending Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida. Together they opened Rocky Mountain Chiropractic and enjoy an active life with their five “furry children.” Dr. Irven is excited to bring quality health care to her new home in Loveland, Colorado. Regular Chiropractic care can greatly improve your life and the lives of those you love. Growing older shouldn’t have to mean growing sicker. She is dedicated to helping you live the type of life you were meant to!
· Dr. John A. Smith D.C.
A 1999 graduate of Loveland High School and record holding defensive lineman, Dr. Smith returned to Loveland in 2009. Dr. Smith and his wife, Dr. Irven, founded Rocky Mountain Chiropractic with the help of Dr. Smith’s mother to run the front desk. Less than two years later, Rocky Mountain Chiropractic is one of the most advanced practices in northern Colorado and has recently expanded with a new office in Fort Collins. The practice has a specific focus on spinal correction, addressing the cause of symptoms rather than solely treating the symptoms themselves.
Dr. Smith is a graduate of Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine. Along with his Doctorate of Chiropractic, he has over 110 post graduate hours in extremity adjusting.
Dr. Smith’s first priority in life is family. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three dogs camping, hiking, snowboarding, weightlifting, attending sporting events and traveling.
